Hometown: Little Chute, Wisconsin

B.S.: University of Wisconsin - Madison (2011)

M.S.: Purdue University (2013)

Research Interests: My thesis research investigates opportunities to expand the use of genetic markers in plant breeding in addition to strategies to optimize commonly used marker‐based breeding strategies, such as genomic selection. I am also interested in the design and analysis of multi‐environment breeding trials and genetic experiments.

Outside Interests: Outside of graduate work, my wife, Lizzie, and I enjoy cycling, snowshoeing, cooking, supporting local farmers and brewers, and bringing our beloved dog, Guinness, to the dog park. We also dabble in producing fermented beverages using the fruits of the barley lab’s labors (i.e. we brew beer).
