Research Interests: My research project focuses on winter barley and soybean, specifically looking at the breeding of these two crops, as well as the agronomy of the overall cropping system. We are interested in breeding and agronomy of the winter barley-soybean dual cropping system in the Upper Midwest. On the winter barley side, I am testing for fall optimal planting date. I also characterize some of the agroecological services that winter barley could contribute to the greater environment. In addition, I am interested in exploring weather data associated with dual cropping systems, and I’d like to work towards enhancement for better crop modeling systems.

Fun Fact: I play banjo!
