Postdoc - Oat and Barley Breeding and Genetics

Current location: Fort Collins, CO; Barley Breeder at Anheuser-Busch

Email: [email protected]

Hometown: Olathe, Colorado

Ph.D.: University of Minnesota (2017)

Research Interests: My research is focused breeding and genetics of oat and barley. With a particular emphasis on durable resistance to oat crown rust. My projects focus on using next-generation sequencing technologies to characterize the genetics of breeding lines and predict agronomic, and disease resistance phenotypes using genomic selection methodologies. I am interested in exploring methods to utilize genetic diversity of landraces/wild species for breeding, and exploring methods for high-throughput phenotyping.
