Research Interests
I am interested in applying genomics-enabled breeding methods to develop new barley and oat varieties that meet end users’ needs. My projects involve using genomic information and phenotypes to unravel the genetic architecture of traits, elucidate the biological functions of candidate genes, validate associated SNP effects in independent populations, and evaluate ways to exploit a weighted genetic relationship matrix in the prediction of breeding values.
